I had the idea for this ages and ages ago, perhaps when looking over other peoples' gryphon characters. But I didn't want to do a predatory hawklike gryphon, I wanted to do something else...Detail here:

So, I'm really amused by this because ... earlier this summer, I was looking for art of magpies and I came across someone's art (someone else here on dA) who'd done a a gryphon who was magpie for the bird part and black housecat for the lion/cat part. And I thought, that's really neat, and who would have thought to do a gryphon like that?
And apparently, you seem to have had a somewhat similar idea. 
And yeah, chickadee gryphon is awfully cute

I love this thing to death. In fact, I used it as an inspiration for a small gryphon-y character in a game I'm running. (Hope that was alright with you. I probably should have asked first, really. :/)
