So I was looking at concept art for Kung Fu Panda 2 as I was want to do and came across some wolf art.Is it just me or do they look more like jackals? And with their colouring they come off as the hyena's from Lion King. Oh well. I gave it my shot and I gotta say as much as I love the art style of KFP, I -HATED- drawing it.
I really, REALLY hated drawing it. The proportions are really hard to keep consistent and this is probably why they did the films in 3D, or maybe I'm just really lousy at drawing these things. Probably the latter.

The hyenas in TLK are actually brown, but there was just really horrible lighting/shading or whatever. But you're right, they do kinda look like them. XD

There are wolves in China. There's a subspecies of Grey Wolf called the Tibetan Wolf.

I like these yes the style is amazing !It is however hard to draw as I've been attempting to draw Wolf Boss,at first site I thought they were Hyenas,then noticed no spots or stripes so instantly thought of a wolf.Wolf Boss I thought was a Maned wolf seeing as he's the only one with tufts of air on his neck.Wolves lived just about everywhere except parts of Africa and South Pole,wolves if any are left did live on the mainland of Asia.
Nonetheless keeping trying I'd love to see more artwork.

Sai and Adobe Photoshop are usually great for colouring. C:

They're easy one you get used to them and have some practice, I've used photoshop for six years now.

It isn't wolf boss it's just a random wolf dude. This was my first time on the style so I chose natural eye colours.

It is AMAZING. I think you'll like it. xD I (almost) liked it better than the original. Not much characterization, but tooonns of action, and Tigress and Po moments were really cute. ;;
Also, I hated the villain when I heard about his concept, but he is freaking cool in the movie. xD
