Description
Lady: Come here for a second, honey. Your tie is crooked.Man: Sweetheart it's fine. Really.
Lady: Hold still.
Ink: Jonathan, c'mere. Your noose is all messed up.
Scarecrow: Jeez, Ink, I'm the God of Fear!! I've been doing this shtick for years. I think I know how tie a noose.
Ink: Quit squirming, oh "God of Fear."
Scarecrow: Don't mock me mortal.

Please, I don't see any difference at all, do you?
...
PFFFFFFFFT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Oh, man I love this piece so much!! It was WAY too much fun.
Just popped into my head after thinking about Scarecrow's noose-tie. One thing led to another and now you get what you see here. XD
Unfortunately for people who don't know anything about Ink, you can't grasp the complete freakiness of this couple from this angle. To see Ink's face from the front, look here... [link]
Random, cute couple on top is random and cute. They really have no identity, but we can say they are neighbors from Ink's appartment complex. I like them a lot.
First time I've drawn Scarecrow with his mask actually on. I was sort of avoiding it because I was unsure of how to draw any of the pre-existing forms.
So I made my own version (which honestly, I like best). It's mostly based off of this version of his costume ([link] ) with some personal changes. You can still tell who it is though, so it's all good.
I'll try to practice the offical look. XD
So anyway, enjoy some JonathanxInk cuteness (and hilarity).
Let me know what you think!!

Srsly though, I like versions of scarecrow with the nuse incorperated around their neck and yours is...arguably creepier then the one in the animated series.
Though...I know not who this Ink is

Heehee, yeah.
But I will tell you that she is a FAILED experiment.
That's why she's kind of unstable (plus other psychological reasons I won't go into right now) and why the "ink" leaks out of her eye constantly.

Yeah, she does, but it's very long and hard to type up. So I'm going to copy/paste some info I wrote up else where.
Warning, this is LONG....
Important things to note:
- Ink was not based on the Batman Beyond character Inque at all. In fact I had totally forgotten about that character until AFTER I post my first Ink pic. But I have been dabbling with the idea that they are connected somehow.
- Ink has amnesia and know's NOTHING about her life before the age of 16. This is not meant to be lazy as I am currently working on what exactly happened to her, but I haven't made a final version yet. The very BASIC version of the story I'm working with right now is that she was kid-napped, experiments were done on her which resulted in her ink-powers, she went berserk after this and was sedated (which wiped her memories), and during a period of them transporting her she either busted out or the transport vehicle she was in wrecked outside of Gotham.
- I kinda work in a Batman-verse all my own that incorporates stories and facts from all the universes I know. For example when I draw Jonathan Crane, I work with his Batman: TAS design. But I'll incorporate ideas from other verses. Like I just recently read the novel Batman: Fear Itself and THAT Jonathan was double-jointed and could dislocate his shoulders and hips and often used that to terrify his victims even more. I LOVE that idea and am totally going to use it from now one.
Basic Facts:
Name: Ink (real name is only hinted at and the hint isn't certain evidence)
Age: 22
Height: 5'3"
Appearance: White female with long, wavy, blond hair and blue eyes, one of which is constantly seeping "ink".
Usually wears jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, and her gray hoodie.
Personality:
EXTREMELY friendly. And I mean seriously. Spastic and naive. Appreciates the intelligence of characters like Batman, Scarecrow, and Riddler because of her own insecurity about never finishing her education (can't go to high school looking like THAT) but likes the Asylum due to the free schooling she gets. Also has a strong insecurity about how she looks. She doesn't mind her appearance, but hates the way people run from her even though she would never hurt them. Has a very strong personal sense of right and wrong. Will not steal or murder (but WILL beat people within an inch of their lives if she feels her of her friends are threatened). Can tolerate the wrong doings of her friends in the Rouges Gallery, but is known to step in to save victims (thus if you want to get away with something really despicable scot free, don't do it when she's around). Very innocent, almost like a child at times. Cries and pouts like one too. Is not incapable of strong logical thought and reasoning, but it's hampered by her insanity. Squeals over cute things. Easily distracted. She's so all over the place it's hard to explain at times.
But while she is a sweet person, she is known to flip out and go into psychotic, animal-like rages went put under extreme emotional duress, like panic and severe anger. In this state she will attack anything in her path, and can only be pulled out of it by certain individuals she really respects, like Batman or Jonathan Crane, or if she just calms down on her own.
Powers:
Ink's entire body is flowing with the same strange ink-substance coming from her right eye. It's taken the place of bodily fluids such as tears and blood. She has mental control over the fluid and the only limit to what she can do with it is her imagination. Common examples are weapons, limb extensions like claws to reach things, head-to-toe "beast forms", and her favorite, "ink critters" which are basically like little servants that can accomplish task for her, but she mostly uses them for companionship, like imaginary friends. [link]
Other Talents: Avid artist and proficient "free-runner" (parkour).
Story: (Still in development; certain potions never explored... YET)
Six years prior to the universe I work with, Ink woke up on the outskirts of Gotham city not knowing who or where she was. After wandering into the city, she was scared and confused as why everyone was looking at her with such horror stricken faces. Caught a glimpse of her ink-oozing face in the window of a store and freaked out, nearly being run over by a truck only to be saved by one Commissioner Gordon who was fortunately nearby. Is taken to the station and is looked after by Detective Harvey Bullock, who feels sympathy for the pathetic quivering teen and ends up giving her a gray hoodie from the lost-and-found (which she still wears). Ink is set up with her own apartment. There are too many details to go into right now, but I will mention that she did have a time of severe depression after this point due to her isolation, fear, confusion, and loneliness. She almost goes through with an attempt to kill herself (I'm planning a comic to tell this story), but stops when she thinks about the people like the Commissioner and Bullock, and realizes that she's not THAT alone. A few months after this she discovers he ability to control the ink substance (I have a story for how, but I won't get into it right now).
Flash forward a few years and Ink ends up getting tangled up in one of Joker's scheme's, but is rescued by Batman. This is were her insane fangirl crush on him begins. Now Ink has gradually come more and more out of her depressed shell, and had taken up free-running as a night time hobby to get around Gotham, casually taking out the occasional mugger now and then. And after meeting Batman, she constantly harassed and bugged him when she ran into him on patrol and even doing crazy things like painting huge murals of the caped-crusader on the side of buildings. Now since Batman didn't see her doing anything really BAD and since he didn't want her being corrupted by the guys at Arkham, he never turned her into the Asylum. But unfortunately some members of Gotham PD were not so patient and she ended up getting turned in anyway. That's were she met Jonathan Crane and the rest of the Rogues. Her relationships with the people of the Gotham underworld is the focus of my stories with her.
Relationships:
- Has a nutty stalker crush on Batman. It's more like severe hero-worship that anything romantic, but she does think he's handsome. Follows him at a distance around Gotham every now and again. I actually currently have it that she knows about his Bruce Wayne identity because she stalked him home. But since this has NEVER been mentioned again and has no bearing on anything in my story, I'm considering just dumping the idea.
- In a "relationship" with Jonathan Crane.
This requires going into some detail. I DO have it so that these two get married and have a kid, but I just skipped ahead and planned that because, let's face it, it's a fun thing to think up. But the relationship took a long time to get to that point (exact time line uncertain as I kinda share a Batman fan-verse with some close friends and we work with each other's stories).
These two met after Ink got sent to Arkham for the first time. Now we'll roll with the idea that the villains can have "lunch time" in the same area together (this obviously doesn't work with all universes where the sometimes the villains are never allowed to leave their glass cells). Ink was looking for somewhere to sit and eventually found a spot next to Dr. Crane. Crane was intrigued by her creepy appearance and cheerfully chatted with the girl, asking her questions and whatnot. At one point Ink casually makes a self-deprecatory comment about her appearance, to which Crane comments that while she may look somewhat macabre, he's always found beauty in the macabre a tells her she looks perfectly lovely. Well Ink's been lovestruck ever since. She follows him around everywhere like a puppy and loves him with all her heart.
From Jonathan's end at first he does think she's pretty, but mostly enjoys the ego-boosting adoration she gives him and the fact that she beats the tar out of anyone that tries to hurt him. He gradually gets more and more attached to her though.
Feel feel to ask any questions if this was too much to take in.
