Heh, my young SDL character Kiryu knows how to doctor horses and do basic first aid, but I'm not sure if either Axen or Shado would want to use her for major stitches. 
"Doctor" in Nihon-go is "Isha", although when I read manga I usually see people actually refer to them with the honorific, "sensei".
