Looking good but doesn't a common pheasant need a white band on its neck to be counted as the ring necked variation?

I don't know to be honest, birds are not my area of expertise! So he would just be a 'common phesant?'

Yeah common is right, ring necked is a subspecies of the common, basically the same bird but with a band of white between the blue and the brown.
