Be prepared for a collage of unpopular shippings. If you got an issue with my weird shipping habits, you can always click the little X or the back button and just not look at this list. Insulting me isn't going to help and telling me these shippings could never happen won't prove anything because I'm already well aware of that. This is called My Top 10 Pokemon Shippings. Not, my Top 10 Canonical Shippings. Anything goes.Didn't wanna use anyone's art, so I used nothing but in-game screenshots, anime screenshots, manga covers, and concept art. Obviously, I own none of those.

Of all the ships on the list, that's the one you question?
I imagine Cynthia encounters Lusamine and battles her and sees strength in the way she battles, which impresses her. Cynthia originally just sees her as a friend, but spends a lot of time with her. As such, when Lusamine loses it, Cynthia steps in to help reform her, sort of like how she tries to help Cyrus see logic. As Lusamine slowly recovers, she grows close to one of the few people who will give her a chance. Slowly, but surely, the two shift from companions, to romantic partners.
It's a lot of theory, so I don't expect many people to agree with it.

The pairs what i mostly like are Brendan x May, Maxie x Archie, and Red x Blue from the games, and in the canon XY one Ash x Serena from the anime!

It's nice to see another Hardenshipper, as well as Red X Blue. I'm pretty cool with Brendan X May - only didn't mention it because I was trying to focus on more bizarre pairings.
Can't really comment on Serena since I never watched the X/Y anime and hence don't know her personality.

Opposites attract. Cyrus is generally emotionless, showing little to no reaction or care for much of anything, while Guzma is fairly energetic and seems to try his best to enjoy having a good time. I could imagine the two could teach each other a thing or two. Cyrus could assist Guzma in controlling his emotional outbursts and viewing the world in a more serious light, and Guzma might be able to loosen up Cyrus a little bit and help him enjoy the world just a little bit more. Not to mention, both were neglected. Cyrus' family put too many high standards on him, and Guzma's father was just generally cruel. They could, in theory, support each other - kind of a "I know how you feel" situation.

I didn't actually realise it was a thing; most people who ship Cyrus with anyone ship him with either Dawn/Lucas, Saturn, Cynthia, Jupiter or Mars.

It's not exactly a popular shipping, but there's a little bit of art for it hidden around the internet. I like looking at pairings outside the norm and trying to consider stranger couple, often ones that haven't met, and whether or not they could theoretically work when put together. I never had a particular attachment to any of the mainstream pairings for Cyrus - not saying I thought they were all bad, just that none hit home with me - so I broadened my horizons and eventually I accidentally bumped into Cyrus X Guzma. I thought about it for a while, and ended up liking it.

I will admit I'm not much of a shipper; for the most part, I'm very impartial - as long as the shipping doesn't promote anything abhorrent (paedophilia, bestiality, incest etc.), I'll let it slide.Β

I'm pretty impartial. I don't obsess over my shippings, and it's mostly just a conversation starter - sort of like what happened here with Cyrus and Guzma. I do have a couple of shipping that involve humans with their Pokemon, but I always view it in a romantic view and not sexual. Like, with Rotom and Charon, I don't think they're having sex with each other, but just that they have an incredibly close bond with each other, akin to love.

I had concerns about Charon and Rotom, I must be honest. Β Mostly, though, I find it disappointing that Platinum didn't even show Charon WITH a Rotom despite the two having history with one another. Β But that's not the point.

I hope that if they ever do choose to do a remake of that game, that this relationship is grown upon. I wouldn't have even minded if Rotom was just Charon's companion and he never actually battled with it. As long as it evolved upon the story.
