Description
my half of a trade withher oc as an anthro
she gave me the option of a cave or a foresst with a waterfall in it,with her being cornerd
so i picked inside a cliffside cave with a waterfall in the background,
the rocks really started to anoy me after a while
its better in full viewany advise or constructive critisicm is very welcome

The cavern and waterfall are really beautiful. The feelings of entrapment are captured well. the foot creeping in is great.

Hmm. Well I will not give a critique of the background. I think it's perfect. Everything from the texture of the water, to the lighting, to the transparency, to the feel of volume and depth are just right.
Your lighting is consistent coming from the back. This makes perfect sense for a cave.
Some of the lighting however doesn't precisely fit. You have the edges of all of the objects light instead of just those objects that would have been in the light. The underside of the breasts, the crotch, and where the calves meet the thighs should be a little darker. The shading however is good enough that you do not need the line under her right breast to show volume.
The jaw line also might be a little sharp for a creature with fur covering her entire body.

Hold on, it is one of your better pieces. Honestly I could fix your mistakes in a few minutes if I were to open up my art program, but I don't think I could have done the whole thing from scratch.

My only critique is on the stones by the cave's entrance; the light looks pretty realistic with it being fiercer and brighter than further back in the cave, but the stones just look a little too smooth. (Unless you wanted them to be worn smooth by the waterfall...) But even if not, with how much rock and detail you already put in there, it's forgiveable. :} I can completely see why it would get annoying after awhile...
Hey, can I ask a question...? When you draw the rocks and add textures to things like fur and grass, do you use different layers...?

yeah i can see what you mean iv gotta spen more time practicing rocks,
the fur is on the same layers its just the dodge and burn tool
all those rocks together took three layers,
i just put the base colour on one side of the rock and used the dodge and burn again

actually the rocks took about an hour,hour and a half but thats with breaks in between,dodge and burns pretty handy you should try it

its not a texture but,you can lower the exposure on it the effect is up to you to create,its really helpfull though

I really like the anatomy of the figure--it's well done, and captures a bit of litheness that seems somewhat fitting to an anthro (I think), though I think the cave walls would benefit from not having such crisp, regular edges. The expression is quite emotive. I think the coloration of the figure could be a little more somber, less neon, to help establish the dark feel of the scene--though I do like how easily the scene reads and how much the figure stands out.
