Description
The Elaan sometimes called the Tarvos Elaan. A herbivore that roams the forested areas of Krownest. They feed primarily off the needles of evergreen trees. Often standing on their hind legs to reach higher food sources with their long tongue. Males shed their antlers in the winter which are often collected for use in crafts and tools. Elaan of the most northern and southern regions dig burrows to hibernate through the harshest part of winter.
Highly aggressive they are solitary. Know to attack humanoids and other fauna unprovoked. Females will have one calf every few years which they will defend fiercely, even from the dangerous bear-cat.

Their size along makes them a formidable animal. With thick hide and long powerful claws that can kill with a single swing. If you aren't done in by the claws or antlers then you will likely be trampled. They fear no predator. Even calves will rear up on their hind limps to defend themselves.
