Waaaaah I'm so happy this one made it to the semi-finalists! I loved it from the first time I saw it, but the updated version looks even more fantastic. She reminds me of Alice Margatroid from Touhou, not in a bad/copied way, but because of the tiny doll and that's a huge charming point <3

try to draw in high resolution then resize.

you never work with lines? resizing is common thing.

change the line color to something like brown then set the layer to multiply, it will make the lines somewhat blend into the background, not disappear tho.
