Description
Okay, this one took me like seconds to make because of it's relatively simple design. But it took me a few hours playing around with colors and textures just to try and make it look good because of it's simple design. And I think it looks really goodThis design is both a kama and a knife in one weapon. It can trap (hence the name) and stab with kama and slash with the knife. The grip (took the most time getting to look good) is designed to allow the weapon to be held with both blades up or down.
Just don't ask me how you carry this thing around

How to carry it?Β Carefully.Β Sick-looking piece of weaponry...I have no idea how practical it would be, but you can't deny that it looks like it could do some nasty damage.

Thanks. I actually designed it to be very practical in combat because I have some practical knowledge about martial arts and I know quite a lot about weapons and could tell the purpose of a weapon by it's design.
The top blade is designed for slashing in an inward motion and the bottom blade is designed for uppercutting and hooking. it could be wielded with the sickle part up and give you a sort of mini scythe and different functionality.
I'm currently working of a 3D version of it and another more versatile and deadly version of it.
And about how to carry it... well that wasn't my first priority. XD

I figured as much, in terms of use...I don't have much in the way of martial arts experience, but it didn't seem too clever to have the kama blade beneath your hand, so I figured that it would be used above the hand.Β After that, figuring out which way the sharp edges pointed clued me in to how it would basically be used.Β I'm glad that you put some thought into this; it shows, and has led to one very sweet piece of cutting material.

Thanks. I try to make most of my designs practical because when I look at some fantasy weapons in games and stuff it makes me go like whaaaaaat... how do you cut someone with a sword that looks like a porcupine?

Right?Β And how the hell would you even sharpen or care such a thing?Β I did notice that about this piece, that it could be maintained fairly easily.

Yup! Just be careful not to sharpen your hand by mistake.

I'll be building a forge soon and saw this today. I only want to make it once, for a friend since he likes knives. May I have permission for a not for profit creation?

my main issue with this is that unless you know what you're doing you're going to end up with a bloody stump where you're hand was

well if you've got a stump instead of a head I don't think you'll be having many problems in foreseeable future
