It’s finally finished!!! I began this artwork at the start of 2021, when the pandemic lockdown was still a reality. I wanted to capture some of the confusion and struggle of those days. Even though I was fine (and very blessed that no one I knew was seriously affected by Covid), it still felt like I was suffering. Screen connection can never fully replace in-person laughter and hugs. Yet it was also a really fruitful time for my art. The honest video calls helped cement some of my deepest friendships. I played a lot of games, enjoyed my local park and even met my now-husband online!

Looking back, I’m not sure I can articulate exactly what God was doing in that time, but I know he was sustaining me, maturing me, and teaching me to let go of control and trust Him even when life made no sense.
