I'm sure loving this scene at sunset from an aeroplane window! YEG. Is that remnants of rain or deicing fluid all over the tarmac? I'm actually very curious why the slats haven't been retracted even though this ERJ-190 landed long ago -- this plane looks like it's in the process of turning into the gate! So, those slats! Was the wind really ripping here, or what?Β

I think that's just the glare from the sun- it didn't look that wet in my other photos

This photo was just as we were touching down- the angle of the photo is deceptive We didn't start turning until a good half minute later- according to my photos
