Every day after work I come home late in the afternoon and doodle in my sketchbook while chatting with Elaki. As both of us are felines, we naturally have similar opinions on the best spots to talk - namely, anywhere you can catch the last rays of the setting sun.Related content

It's lovely. I like the overall, relaxed feel of the piece and the colours used. The lighting is done very well and the time of day is depicted clearly.
The only thing that kind of bothers me is how much negative space is on the left side - I feel as though the window, that is casting the horizontal shadows across the figures should be seen. Could just be me though.

Hmm... that was one of the things I wasn't sure about, actually. Tried it both ways, still couldn't decide, and then figured I'd stick with the simpler method.

Aww wow. Nice work! I love the emotion in it, and the simple backdrop is really effective. Your ability to draw shirts like that is also rather amazing, and its not often a charater is so unique that you can instantly recognise them in anything.

Wow. O_O Thank you so much! It's strange since most of the things you pointed out (backdrops, clothes, character design) are things I think I'm really weak on, but I've been trying really hard to get better at. It gives me the happy hearing all that since it might actually mean I'm starting to get a little better. ^^

I wasn't sure about the stripes since they're so hard to actually do right and they always looked wrong to me no matter what I did. Glad it seems to have worked anyway, though!

Actually, it's funny since I'm going to get LASIK surgery soon anyway so I don't need glasses (YAY!). For now, I've taped my glasses together (along with the eraser) so now I look totally like a nerd. All I need is a pocket protector and I'd be all set.
