Description
Digitgrade legs for Raikou are done foaming (mostly)They've been done for some time I just finally took some pictures of it.
I've added some foam to transition the legs into the feet (on the bottom/front of them) since these pics.
First time doing digi legs -derp-
Will move to scraps in a day.

For the legs, is the foam multiple sheets glued together, or carved all from one? If multiple, is the length 1" width?

I used 1 inch thick, multiple sheets.
But you could definitely use thicker foam as well!

How do you determine how far out the padding goes? It's barely noticeable on my legs I've tried to do. It looks amazing!

There isn't really much of a science to it, is mostly eye-balling it.
It might help to remember that fur is going to smooth out shapes as well as add bulk.
So it needs to be somewhat exaggerated, but not overly so.

Sounds good, thank you for the reply! I was using 2 1/2" pile fur for the legs on my first one... I'd imagine using marmot fur or 1" fur would make it more noticeable.

If your shape is subtle then shorter fur will definitely show the shape better, yes!
Not to say though that digitigrade legs can't be done with longer fur, most commonly 2" pile fur is what's used.

Do you know how to make these? (Well obviously you do) but do you have a tutorial? These are really good and I want to make some.

I'm afraid I don't have a tutorial.
I'll try to explain it but idk if it will be understandable >.o
What you'll need is mannequin legs (here I had a duck tape dummy of my waste down.) to build the shapes off of.
Once you make the shapes make a duck tape pattern of it all together (like in this picture).
From that you can make your outer layer.
Then you can remove the shapes and make a pattern of them to get your padding. You can also just use the foam shapes themselves for the padding, but it will be rigid and not as comfortable.
