Did you like the picture of Steele smiling? I know I didn't get the muzzle or the eyes right.
The next picture, the one that goes with the fanfic, I also know I got the eyes wrong.
But I have been practicing Steele's anatomy and the picture after that looks a lot better; figured out the eyes, the blaze/white markings above the eyes, the brow, the cheeck bones, the nose, the ears, and the collar.

Yeah, I don't consider myself that good of an artist so I need all the practice I can get. But I know the picture after the next picture (probably the one in 2 weeks) of Steele will be the best one of him I have ever drawn. It looks pretty close to the model sheets and the official references.
In other news, I think I completed the fanfic, now just need to finish the picture. Both should (hopefully) be released next week. Did you want me to let you know when they are posted?

It might very well be. Java is not a programming language I am familiar with but I do believe that uses javascript of some sort. It is a fairly universal cross platform language, common to all desktop operating system and many portable/embedded operating systems. Is it possible to download the file as a pdf and read it?

If I had it to do over again I'd rewrite it. I didn't mean to make Steele appear weak and I should have clarified he was never truly sorry and was just using Balto to win back the respect of the town. I've been working on a second story and he is a lot more aggressive, competitive, arrogant,and short tempered in it. I'm not sure if I am going to post it...
There is more art on the way.
I also found a couple of awesome storyboards with Steele in them. [link] and [link] . These weren't cheap, and they are some of the last storyboards from the film. I've got a couple more with other characters ( [link] and [link] ). I've considered getting more, but they are so expensive. Also got this one I drew framed ( [link] [excuse the glare]). I also have both the American and UK Press Kit, as well as a press card signed by Kevin Bacon (I want one of Steele signed by Jim Cummings...)
I found a plush that I swear looks almost exactly like him [link] (notice the collar with the studs. If he had black masks around the eyes he would look just like him). I'm always on the lookout for more Steele stuff.

wow, all that stuff is so awesome! i love the difference in style between the storyboards and the final animation design. it's really cool to see that, like seeing the artists process.
you definitely have the best Balto collection i've ever seen, thank you so much for sharing it with me
