Description
Cloud formation over the Gulf of Mexico. Taken at Venice Beach Florida last summer, just before sunset.Finally getting some of my best summer shots up with my new Nikon.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, I suppose partly because it's so flat you get fairly unobstructed sky views. The cloud formations can be quite spectacular, although I rarely seem to have my camera with me when they are really great.

I feel the same way; I fell in love with the Florida skies and storms on my first trip here in 1991. The sunrise colors are so golden! The sunset colors are so enthralling with all their colors. I am sure that the reflections from the waters make it even more brilliant.
