Description
"Mama," she remembered saying. "Why do the stars twinkle?"The silence went on as before. The night thrived around them with crickets alive and awake and singing their never-ending song. The occasional frog croaked, complaining at the noise from the crickets. The eucalyptus leaves shirred in the breeze, sighing and moaning the soft, joyous laughter of trees.
Mama never answered. Only the small creatures spoke.
