Description
a drop of water fell like a spark
from the sky to her pale finger
and continued on its way, glimmering
to the ground. and unlike the tear
that it was, it broke into a thousand
rainbow shimmering pieces. never
did they reunite, or ever greet again
but all at some point they all did
touch the pale finger of the girl
and leave the colours on her skin.
one day, another drop fell to her
and washed all the brilliance away
and so the girl cried, for she never
had known how much she loved
the rainbow until it was all gone.
but her tears fell like sparks
from her eyes to her pale finger
