Description Sitting by the seven blues
Thoughts racing to the horizon
Sitting between the counterfeit beach
And the cheated inch of foam.

Wondering.

Smiles that I can't refuse?
Has my faith begun?
Memories past, future out of reach –
But I know a silver sun shall roam.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Hearing echoes of past impressions
Reflecting on the face of the sea
Blue pupils dilating with the heave of the moon
Dilating with inquisition.

Breathing.

I am one of the humans
Singing the sky's melody
Wishing on a windy tune
Confessing my desire for conclusion.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Lustrous black waters watching
While daytime turns to night
Peaceful thoughts pricked with doubt
As stars pierce the royal sky.

Darkening.

Southern winds are sighing
Silver sun out of sight
Knowing hope has yet to run out
But still I wonder why.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Pondering into twisted circles
Around, around, beneath, above
Counting on answers I can't see
This is the trick of perception.

Trapping.

These thoughts are shackles
Gripping the freedom of love
Dousing the burning intensity
Of the one consuming sun.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Don't want to be without direction
But even the cracked, rusty compass
That in past, ruled the way
Is lost among shattered seashells.

Wandering.

Sunrise is a dreamed up illusion
In this night's lone darkness
And the gloaming, without say
Parts me from what the truth tells.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Burning for unuttered answers
Not knowing the questions
Gazing down the endless grey
That shivers along the fringe of ocean.

Waiting.

Reminiscence murmurs
Memories of rising suns
When the light was supposed to lead the way
But it was a lie delicately spun.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Washing in and washing out
Wondering, quieting, crashing ripples
Bubbling froth of contemplation
Dreams undifferentiated from actuality.

Yearning.

Vivacity is said to be throughout
This harsh life which cripples
The weakest one
But I've found this to be a lie.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Sinking into the assuming sand
Drowning on earth, watching
As the sky and stars spin
On their path through the battle this night.

Drifting.

Lost among the distant suns, and
Cluttered memories I'm contemplating
Tide pulls out and rushes in
Power and submission's fight.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Spinning in the water's sway
Tumbling in dead, tangled seaweed
Shock of numbness, tingles grow dull
As does mental disquiet.

Accepting.

Knowing this world won't change
When even there is need
For the seas to be full
Of blinding kindness.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Vowing not to give up
On the pending water's stillness
For throbbing thoughts depends on
The calmness of the spray.

Promising.

Future is held in a fragile cup
Safe from breaking under stress
But not safe from shifting on
This fluctuation of gloom and day.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Envisioning summer's sunrise
Anticipating the overripe plum dome
The stars as they recede
And long-awaited content.

Fulfilling.

The wind's absence cries
As darkness is outshone
Gasping as the sun is freed
Living in a blissful empty moment.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Standing above the undulating cold
Throwing desire-filled fingers to the rays
Warmth is nearly nothing
But a pale, mere mist.

Aspiring.

Sun pulls apart the cold
Heats the recent pain-infused days
As the light is lifting
On my cheeks, sunny peace is kissed.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Dancing is the tide
Celebrating newness, refreshment
Waves cascade, shimmering lively
A clear, fresh emergence.

Appearing.

Footprints fade with the water's guide
Bathing in enlivenment
At last, I can see
It is time for forgiveness.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Morning sunshine enchants
Saddened souls like me
Broadens the brightness of the horizon
Where hope rests undying.

Replenishing.

Looking out across the expanse
This daybreak, fades all jealousy
And thoughts become a faultless compendium
Of sure and precise certainty.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Lightheartedness calls
From across the stretch of sea
Soaring unconditionally toward the shore
Asking for no promises.

Hoping.

Distrust falters and falls
The blame on the light I see
Cleansing my soul before
This new day counts its wishes.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

And now the sweet song is sung
The silver sun's melody
Covering the cries of pain
That should never have been called.

Beginning.

There is no longer competition
Between suspicion and belief
And this tranquility that has been gained
By torment will not again be malled.

Believe:
Why
Should I not?

Sweet melody, sweet melody, lead my way.
Guide me across countless serene oceans.

Sitting by the blinding light of the sunrise
Reflecting on the night's past

A crisp breeze of pure belief
Undiluted by water's obligating swell.

Faith is no longer a fancy dream
As I lie in the sand on this never-ending shore.
