Yay ^^ I SOOOO wanted to participate in this year's 1st of April project... First because I really love cats and second, because I want to have this special cat badge on my profile page But the way to get here was pretty hard. You wanna read the kinda strange story of this picture? Go on...

I searched for around three to four hours (while I tried to answer some dA messages finally ) in many many many many many old folders with photography (you really can't imagine HOW many -.-" With so many bad pictures actually xD). Finally I had to accept: I didn't take a single photo of a cat with one of my digital cameras the last years... (How comes? I have no idea... No models around I guess haha).
But giving up wasn't an option So I used my first free day for weeks now to search through old boxes with printed photos I took with manual cameras when I was 10-14 years old (I guess... I think I got my first digital camera when I was 15... But I can't remember it exactly, sorry ^^). There are so so many printed photos, mostly from holidays, but finally I found this old, very creepy looking cat picture (no depth, odd proportions, strange orange colors, too much background, no real crop... you can imagine my horror ). But I took it, ran to the WDR (a german media enterprise I am working for at the moment - some of you may remember me talking about it on some of my recent photos... Oh and yeah, they really work on sundays - thank God ^^). So I could use the high resolution super duper whatever great scanner to digitize the photo and send it to my e-mail...
Back at home I sat down and tried to crop and turn, sharp and blur, adjust colors, etc etc etc to make this look like art and not like a cheap photo everyone runs away from haha I am not sure whether it isn't overdone now, but I have a cat picture for the project wuhuuuuu! Not the greatest one or the most original one, but I put really much work into it haha... And it is not supposed to be perfect, it just shall help to FREE FELLA WUHUUU!

And now after my sunday horror story: Go go and upload your own cat photos... We want our Fella back, dont't we?
