There were no survivors in Jacobstown. He hadn't expected there to be, but that didn't mean he hadn't hoped. He'd hoped that it'd sneak up on him. That some band of young, beautiful survivors had banded together away from all of the chaos below and spent the past twenty years repopulating. He'd certainly make a sacrifice for the greater good and shagged a few birds, even if they weren't his type.
Of course there were no heroes in the real world. There'd be no dramatic twists any time soon.
