Description 3 random characters I drew when I was bored. From left to right, they are The Bored Barbarian, The Prissy Princess, and The Worried Wizard. The Princess was actually supposed to be from one of the games I was working on, but that game never happened. Still, I like her design. Best fashion I've ever done, in my opinion. She transforms into a water dragon, hence the getup which simulates her dragon form. These three characters appear in some form in most fantasy stories, but this one happens to be closer to Conan and Kull, but not just because they are barbarians.

Really nice designs! They look like they really differentiate in personality I'd love to see the Prissy Princess' dragon form!

Thanks! Really, the Bored Barbarians was a doodle when I had no ideas, but I love how he looks. He's just so...bored. I'd upload the dragon, but it was a pretty bad drawing and I ruined it with horrible coloring. Eventually I'll get a new version of that and the other art from that project uploaded.

Isn't it funny how doodles can randomly become OCs or ideas? I get that all the time, like my character Akihiko was just a random guy, but then I liked the cuteness emitting from him, so now he's got his own story and everything ^_^
Hahaha he's just so... bored xD
Aww well maybe do another? I'd really love to see the dragon form bcs dragons are life. Ugh I always ruin my drawings by colouring them, so you're not alone my friend *puts hand on shoulder like a father telling his son something deep and emotional*
Cool, I can't wait to see it!

Yeah. That happens to me quite frequently. Sometimes you just draw things and you just love them. I need to redraw the dragon because the first drawing, while majestic, was boring and went outside the bounds of the paper. Dragons are indeed life. I wish I had one...maybe I should just go to Norway and tame one.

Yes, it's weird how that works. Well, if you do redraw it, you should definitely put it up on DA. Haha yes, tame a Norwegian Ridgeback!

Harry Potter reference for the win! I'd prefer a dragon like Saphira...way more of a bro.

Yay Saphira! I did read Eragon for a while, but I didn't get that far into it. I found it gross how when Eragon first rode her, the skin from his inner thighs came off... *shudders*Β

You really should! I can say without a doubt that it's my favorite series. However, I read it when it first came out, so my fondness for it may have been a bit skewed by the naivete of youth and now by my nostalgia for it. My favorite part of the series is the descriptions of Eragon and Saphira's relationship, about how close they are and how they deal with that sort of closeness. Paolini really captured the emotion of what went on between them, and I love it.

Hehe maybe I'll give it a read when I've finished the other four series I need to finishΒ  Β
Perhaps the reason why I wasn't swayed by the book when I read it... Because I'm only a teenager so maybe it's not my thing yet. I mean, I LOVE fantasy books with dragons and wizards, like I love the Deltora Quest books I grew up reading those.

Yeah, I know how it is to have series you need to finish. I started reading the Sword of Truth series, which is, like, 12 books long and they're massive books. I got to book 5 before life made me unable to keep reading it, and I've given up on it. I read some of the Deltora Quest stuff, about the belt of something or other. It was all in one book, so I doubt it was all of the stories. It was definitely interesting, what little I read of it. I don't think age has anything to do with liking the Eragon books, because I read the first one when I was in...6th grade, I think, and I loved it to death. There's a lot going on, and it was written by a teenager, so it might not have been very well written for the first one, but I just got really into and I didn't care about or notice any incongruities. I'm not going to tell you "read it or you're a bad person," but I'd say at least finish the first one and then decide if you like it or not. And, hey, if it's not your thing then it's not your thing.Β
