Description
Solomon Reaper, one of 3 sons of Death himself, Grim Reaper. Sol is the middle child and the strongest, as his mother was a Goddess of the Light, and so has the advantage of being a Nephilim. Sol hates his father and everything to do with him, but he can't escape the world he was born into, and it has made him cold. Sol struggles to deal with himself and the knowledge that one day, he and his brothers will help end the world.Sol and I go way back. He's another character of my stories, and I've been drawing him for years in his different incarnations. This isn't my best drawing of him, but I'm sure he'll show up again sooner or later.
Done with mechanical pencil, multiliner, markers, and some very poor Photoshop.

Ahhh I thought this might be the OC you were talking about (well duh Lauren, the title says it all ) I really like his story and sounds like a character with a lot of secrets and social and personal issues (even thought he may not be the social type). He's definitely a character that you can build on anyway. I like his design and his weapon looks super cool ^_^ *imagines Sol swinging it around~whoosh whoosh!* haha don't mind me... But all in all, I love your OC! You should definitely upload a recent copy of this *_*

Sol's really great. He was the first OC I created who had a personality completely separate from my own. We're similar, but not the same. He's been through some serious shit in the past, and I mean serious, but I still think he's very much of a real person. His scythe is really great, too. It's an enchanted piece of cord that normally hangs from the back of his belt, but he's able to transform it into that black-bladed scythe with a bone-like handle. Here it's shown mid-transformation, so he can still swing it around and do crazy things with it. It's not as cool as his dad's scythe (that would be Death's Scythe), which can freely change it's shape and summon demons and rip whole through dimensions, but it's pretty cool. Definitely will draw him more (maybe even upload one of my favorites from before my hiatus...not as good as I am now, but better than this. It has Sol and his two brothers.)

Ohh... So he's one of those mysterious characters that doesn't like revealing things and his secrets are locked away? He sounds sugoi! I like the idea of him being an inhuman being, but having human qualities and a human appearance. That could lead to lots of different scenarios happening between him, humans and his brothers.
Yeah his scythe sounds really cool! You should do some designs of it in it's different forms ^_^ Woah *_* Death's scythe sounds wicked mannnn~

Don't worry, I've got all the time in the world. Well...I've got all the patience in the world. Drawing the scythes now, just got to ink them. I can always draw when I have an idea of what to draw, so I can always use suggestions!

Well, weapons aren't my thing... I suck at drawing them... But I guess in my mind, a death scythe would look black and have diamond holes along the handle and stuff... But I dunno ^_^

Me too. I've got the scythes drawn and ready, just got to upload them. I'm doing The Scythe as a separate thing. It's a bit more complicated than the Heralder's scythes.

I dig the back story, and Sol is a cool name for a Reaper, clever. He does remind me of Todd in the Shadows though, from thatguywithglasses.com. Just from the moody and you can't see his face.

That was just the most condensed version of everything I have written about him. I have untold numbers of pages in Word with stuff about Sol and his world plastered on them. I honestly didn't know about the guy you mentioned until you said something, and I can see the similarities. There are several reasons why Sol has no face. For one, his demonic powers have a tendency to get away from him accidentally, and when they do his face becomes a skull, and he is ashamed about it. He's been called a monster many times over the course of his life, sometimes by other monsters. Plus, he spent 66 years in the Underworld, and his skull face reminds him of all the horrible things he went through there. Those are the big reasons, but it's also because every time I've ever tried to put a face on him, it comes out looking like crap, so I just don't.
