Description

It had been the better part of three weeks since her battle with the armored clad assailant that had nearly defeated her, and something about the fight still bothered Blonde Sable. Her attacker had been able to anticipate her moves, almost as if she had been studying her or seen her moves before. One of the men from that had taken a deal and gave up everything he knew about the organization he was working for.

It hadn’t been a lot but it was enough that as a result, she was perched in a fire escape near an overpass. She watched as a dark brown panel van moved along a dirt road as it approached and then drove under a rundown bridge. She watched as the van slowed to a stop before turning off its lights and engine. She waited a couple of minutes and then with a practiced ease jumped and caught a series of horizontal bars until she was close enough to drop to the ground.

As she moved along the graffitied wall, she could hear a pair of male voices arguing about a player from a local sports team. She used their distraction to move in closer and just as she started to step out and make her presence known, she caught movement from her side and barely had time to avoid a kick to her head from her mystery attacker.

Sable dived forward and came back up in a ready stance as her attacker sprang at her with a flurry of kicks and punches that forced her to give ground and move deeper under the bridge. Unable to tell if her own punches and kicks were having any affect, Sable could feel herself beginning to tire as her shield protected her from serious harm. Seeing an opening in her opponents attack, she lashed out with a savage kick to the side that dropped her opponent to a knee.

Breathing hard from the fight and energy drain from her shield, Sable drew her pistols and fired a pair of darts at her opponent. She watched in disbelief as the darts skipped off the flexible panels of the suit. Before she could fire again or reach for her emergency beacon, the armored woman stood back up, and lashed out knocking the pistol from her left hand. Unable to react in time, she felt herself being lifted off her feet as the woman’s foot buried itself into her torso.

Sable felt the cracking of at least one rib as the world around her became an ocean of pain and barely felt herself hit the ground. Fighting to fill her lungs with air, Sable tried to roll on her side but was stopped by the woman as she grabbed her top in her fist and held her to the ground as if telling her to stop fighting. Grabbing at her wrist to free herself, Sable’s eyes went wide and she let out a raspy sound as she felt the sharp sting of a needle in her thigh followed by a quickly spreading warmth as her body began to go unresponsive.

As the blackness began to close in around her, she felt herself being lifted up as an echoy voice told someone. “We have her.”

Things seem to have gone from bad to worse for Sable, who is this mysterious armored opponent and what nefarious plans does she have for for Blonde Sable now that she has captured her? Being that I am rendering more often now, I am going to try and have a new part of this story out every week.
