Description
It had been a long three weeks but Blonde Sable had finally tracked the shadowy monster that had been dubbed the "Shadow Stalker". The monster had claimed seven victims in the last ten days alone and her team was split up around the city trying to stop its rampage. She had caught a lucky break as she was moving along the rooftops near an abandoned warehouse when she heard a yell of panic from one of the many homeless in the area. Moving quickly down to street level she found the spot where someone had been attacked and could see the bloody drag marks leading back to a darkened old warehouse. She caught movement out of the corner of her eye, and watched as She-Cat dropped down a few feet from her and knelt down to look at the drag marks.

"This is fresh." She said looking up from the bloody tracks as she stood up. "I thought I was the only one in the area She-Cat, I was going to investigate the warehouse care to join me?"

She-Cat nodded as she stood up. " I was several blocks away when I heard the scream myself. Whatever did this wasn't worried about hiding its tracks."

Both Sable and She-Cat followed the blood trail and found one of the doors had been ripped from its frame and hung loosely from a single hinge. Sable drew one of her pistols and carefully stepped through the door and into the darkened interior and looked around. Spreading out from the door both heroines kept the other in sight as they moved towards the far wall of the building. As they neared a light well caused by a hole in the roof, She-Cat motioned for Sable to stop as she motioned to her ears and then pointed just past the other side of the lit area.

As if on cue, both heroines heard an inhuman bellow and saw a dark blue skinned creature advance into the light, its snarling bloody mouth full of sharp teeth. She-Cat snarled her body dropping down into a fighting stance, her hands forming into claws as she snarled back at the creature. The beast paused a moment at She-Cat's aggressive nature letting Sable seize the advantage and took a running start and leapt into the air as she began firing darts into the monster.

Roaring in anger and pain, the monster turned back towards Sable as She-Cat launched herself at the beast, her own teeth bared and her hands ready to attack. The creature seeing the twin attackers and starting to feel the effects of the drugs from Sable's darts, raised a hand as if to strike as the pair watched the creature start to stumble. Sable watched as a pair of additional darts struck the monster at the same time She-Cat's struck the monster with a right hook to its face and left knee to its mid-section.

The heroines prepared for another attack as they watches as the beast staggered and turned to flee and instead staggered and fell on its side. Sable and She-Cat watched as the monster attempted to get up before falling motionless to the floor its chest raising and falling slowly. Sable watched as She-Cat pulled out a cell phone and made a quick phone call before slipping it back into a hidden pouch. "A containment crew is on the way, they will secure this monster so it doesn't hurt anyone again."

Sable nodded as she reloaded her pistol and switched it to her left hand. "You have some great moves, if you ever need a partner for a patrol, give me a call. I would be happy to work with you again." The pair didn't have to wait long before a black van and several SUV's showed up and quickly caged the monster and moved it into the van before turning the crime scene over to the police. Sable finished with her part quickly slipped away and contacted her team and let them know that the "Shadow Stalker" had been caught and to meet her back at their base for a debrief. As she straddled her custom bike and slipped on her helmet, the bikes A.I. spoke into her ear. "Happiez Heroinez Appreciation dayz Sable." Sable smiles into her helmet. "Thanks Dee ... lets go home and celebrate with some pizza."
