I got my hands on this game recently and have come to the conclusion... RISTAR IS BETTER THAN SONIC! The game is much more vibrant and colorful and the music, especially the boss theme is something out of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga!

Heh heh, this one's cute. I never got to play Ristar on my Mega Drive unfortunately. I have an old poster of him still though.
I think this image though makes Ristar look quite young.
