aha I'm super fake and hate reading so I haven't technically read the new books but I've been keeping up with them through the wiki (surprisingly detailed!) and the community. But man I really like Needletail. At first I was like "oh look, a Squirrelflight copy.." but I was pretty wrong! She was very different and I like how her character arc played out! Making a seemingly very important character die so early is something we don't see often and it wasn't a death for nothing, she was a hero and redeemed herself to someone who cared a lot about her. The new series is funny to me because some of the plot decisions are really compelling and new for these kinda drawn out books(Needletail, Skyclan, Violet&Twig ), yanno? but other things in it I'm like really?? (Darktail, sooo many prophecies??, naming problems all ooooovver) but I mean for what it is, I'm impressed! Excited for whats next!
