Its sparkling blue so vast,

A soft breeze whispers past,
Stealing her lover away,
Lost to the wind, he leaves her
At the crime scene of a beautiful day.

The sand between her toes,
Like tiny grains of sea salt,
Left no marks of her old lover,
She wonders if that is her own fault.

From under the covers,
She watches Summer turn to snow,
Shallow tears fall into the deep,
Sitting below a winter willow.
