Balance is an entity of sorts that, despite the obvious 'good and evil balance' look he has, represents balance of all things, good and evil included.

His main duty is to make sure that Sitan doesn't go overboard with taking over everything (seeing as Bathala's basically like, "Okay, I'll keep it even") ...buuuuuut with Oregano's birth, it's been more than just difficult to keep things in check, especially seeing as Sitan has been ripping at the Foundations for quite a while.

But Balance spotted the Ae-Ei winning battles against the CorruptAe, so, in order to even things out on the mortal plane, he gave one the power to even out any battle he may face, and that way he would always win...
