Description Teacher in a green dress
Taking up homework I didn't do
Long braids, curved lines
Parabolas, word equations and graphs

The classroom a buzz of activity
From warning bell to lunch
Discussing politics with friends before class
Taking notes and scribbling equations on grid paper
Picking up our books at period's end

Math posters and sine-wave models adorn the room
Strange, miscellaneous items line the board
Disordered rows of desks fill the classroom
Students mill about, hoping they won't have to learn anything today

Wow, that was the most intellectual comment anyone has made on my work. It's truly amazing what can come of being bored in class.

Greatest comment on education ever. that line is a funny (i thought it was funny) cap to the mood of routine and dull drudgery (sp?) of what is high school that you've set up.
My Calculus teacher used to tell us that numbers were a language through which math talked to her. yeah she was... different.
