Does anyone remember when i used to draw horses all the time?cause i do
and my sky needed love
this was kinda forced when I read that Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron is getting it's own series on Netflix, and although from what I've seen of the promo images, i'm kinda worried, I'm still gonna give it a shot.
I mean they gave Spirit a blaze and got rid of the dorsal stripe for licencing issues so he's kinda a different horse now
and the animation is a weird 3d
and rain isn't there, neither is little creek
and there's a girl called lucky he's with
so im

scared for spirit XD Considering it was my like... film growing up. The very film that inspired me to draw properly. Soooo i'm afraid for the fact that it's being rehashed into something cheap. and 15 years later no less!! It's coming out this year sometime, and Netflix already has the dile for it, it's just empty right now.

I used to draw horses all the time too, but now I'm more of a canine person. You know, wolves and tokotas and stuff 
I didn't know Spirit was getting its own series! It does sound quite different to the original based on what you said, but it's good to hear that it's still somewhat relevant these days. That movie was one of my faves growing up

Yeahhhhh i lovvved the soundtrack. It was the reason for so many of my early pieces, and I had to leave them all in the uk when i left, and i really really wanna look through all my old stuff XD

Yeah, about the Spirit show, I don't think it's the same Spirit SOTC, It is probably just a horse like Spirit that this little girl called Spirit. Kinda like the 4th Free Willy movie. This girl found a baby orca and named it Willy. Nothing to do with the 3 other original movies.

Oh she's pretty! I may have to do some fan art of her. I can't draw cars, but horses I can do! XD And I totally agree with the Spirit show. I already don't like how they changed him. If they do like they did with the Lion Guard, and make him like a distant offspring or a different horse completely I might understand, but it is definitely NOT the Spirit I love.

Exactly!!! And yeah I caught that... So it DOES make me wonder... like, is it even the same spirit??!?!?!?!!? I don't know, is it just a coincidence or not, it's all confusing... Disney and Dreamworks ARE supposed to be rivals, unless something has changed without me knowing XD

That was my initial reaction!!! And I remember AAAGES ago Breyer DID release what was suppose to be the foal of Spirit and Rain, but the sequel never happened 
Though I am waiting with baited breath, cause that movie was my entire childhood, then it was Cars. soooo please dont ruin this for me netflix XD

I think there was a book series that continued Spirit's original series...don't quote me on that.
OMG Breyer <3 You can't find the Traditional Spirit or Rain anywhere without paying a gagillion dollars for a "used" model.
I'll give it a chance, maybe it's just early press releases giving out hype...I hope. It just seems like something you'd see from Horseland or some show like that though.

Pffff I never got hold of them, and i doubt i ever will XD I never got hold of the gameboy game that i really wanted too >.<
i know it'll be geared towards kids, that im aware of, but it's been shown that shows CAN have decent shows that follow... i mean Riders of Burk aren't all THAT bad but... still XD From what i read, it's like they're gonna restart the series, as opposed to continue, so it might not even follow the same plot line.

I guess the only thing we can do is see how it turns out. It really screams Horseland meets Saddle Club meets some inkling of Spirit. Also...wtf...I like Little Creek! XD
I had the gameboy game, or at least one of them. I can't remember if I beat it though. I was just impressed by the animations xD Oh man, nostalgia trip. I remember watching it in theaters and bawling through the second half of the movie. When my friends and I called our moms, our moms thought something was horribly wrong lol.
Matt Damon is best Spirit.
Also...it has been a long time coming, but there's a Spy Kids series coming out too...I thought that was a thing already?

The curiosity is strong in me but like...if Dreamworks and Disney are doing this...THEN WHY DOES SPIRIT NOT LOOK LIKE SPIRIT?! ...plus the equestrian in me is cringing hard...so...hard >.O

Well.... I read that parts of Spirit were sold off from Dreamworks, so they don't own 100% of everything, so apparently due to this they had to change a few things to make sure it didn't break any licencor rules. BUT I DONT KNOW *SHRUGS DRAMATICALLY*
