Ship of the Lines are the quintessential battleships of the era. Though they are slow and sluggish to manoeuvre, Heavy Ship of the Lines are the most powerful sailing vessels on the high skies. They are often ranked 1st or 2nd rate in a company's fleet. The first models were already built about 35 years ago and were originally created as passenger ships for long distances, but were often attacked by Astral Reavers due to their slowness. Later they were converted to warships and had an important role in battles against the Astral Reavers, who annexed some of them after successful fights.
Ship of the Lines often have over one hundred cannons spread across three decks and a crew of more than one thousand men. Fighting in formation, with a long line of ships sailing one behind the other, they bombarde their enemies with devastating broadside attacks.
