Quick line up of all finished re-designs for my characters for

First one is Vales
I was always bothered by his previous design and hated it with a passion but never got around to create a proper re-design for him until recently.
His new designs looks more like that of an archer - even in fully dressed mode.
The bow was a challenge though and I'm a master of procrastination when it comes to weapon design.
In the end I needed tons of references and created a mixture of two different bow designs from (probably) fantasy games.
So, no - I have not developed into a great weapon designer over night and would have never managed to come up with something great without
the help of the internet.

Next one we have is Serenity
I'm still not entirely satisfied with her regular design (the faded one).
It lacks a lot of details and I don't like the design for the rapier - the colors are a nice variation to what I do mostly, though.
The nightmare version is more to my liking, especially since I can go wild with everything here:
It's completely fantasy and does not need any logical explanation to why the circles around/behind her are floating and why they are there at all.
It's fantasy and magic and what works for games can work for a fantasy rp group as well.
The seven-eyed-raven is also a nice addition to her entire character design. He's a bit creepy if you take a closer look at him but also somehow cool.

Then we have Lucien
My oldest rp-character along with Ellis.
I don't know how many re-designs he had had within the past 20 years - from vampire to fantasy elf to steampunk pirate, medieval cavalier and whatnot.
In the end he still remains a pirate somehow. I'm so used to him wearing that pseudo captain harlock-coat that I just couldn't help but put him in one again.
I tried to combine his previous cavalier design with the steampunk pirate one for Ethernitas (which I never uploaded I think) and this is the result.
In the end only the hat and the cape remained, the rest is a mash up of his different steampunk clothes.
I also edited his weapon and changed the physical appearence of his chaos magic.
Before it was just a pulp of undefined splatters (which suited the idea of chaos) but now it has a solid vessel from which he draws his magic.

Last but not least: Ellistraelle
My cute and calm elf magician with his leucistic peacock.
As mentioned above he's one of my oldest characters. I created him along with Lucien when I was about 6 or 7 years old, so that was 20 years ago.
He shares a long history of changes with Lucien but his final character developed only after I met my dear Ekeeya in 2010.
After we started rping I finally knew which direction his character development should take and now look at my once silly baby.
He's a master magician of his clan, married to the lovely Lira and has 3 kids - and still likes to go on adventures with his wife and see the world he once was afraid of.
I think he had the most development of all considering how unimportant his entire existence was when I first created him.
His new design is my attempt on asia/japanese clothing mixed with a bit of fantasy and I swear that I'm no good with those clothing designs at all.
I needed tons of references for him - starting from the overall flow of the long clothes to the belt and the hair style with that fancy hair pin thing.
The staff needs some reconsideration though.

I don't know when I'll find the time to work those concept sketches out properly but I'll try my best.
There are still a lot of characters I need to re-do (Alka, my gyrfalcons, Teckwynn...) but these four have priority - especially Ellis.
