This started out as a piece for the winner of my tumblr follower giveaway, but the sketch didn't end up how I wanted so I used it as a warm up piece and I colored it how I felt. I've seen some goldies with this coloration, I quite like it.I'm glad I decided to finish this up as practice. It feels like it's been a while since I'm completed a piece. If you follow my tumblr, I'm sure you are all caught up, but if you don't: the short story is/
I've been off and on sick lately, I had my wisdom teeth removed last week, and one of my rescue/stray kitties was hit by a car or something very recently- which resulted in her needing a very pricey surgery to try and repair both her broken hips. Thanks to the donations of amazing people, she's had the surgery and is currently recovering with constant caring attention.
We're hopeful that she will walk again. <3

I feel terrible that I didn't know about your poor feline and was unable to donate. I've been feeling the urge to send you a helpful donation recently and hope I have the money soon. I know your kind heart has a lot of animals to look after.

and my goodness! no, please don't feel badly. A couple weeks prior to Holly being injured, we rescued another cat that has really odd mouth problems and had to deal with her and some other medical bills. Then Holly dragged herself home after being missing for a week. I felt so hopeless, but a few of my friends urged me to make a page for her on YouCaring. We actually raised $1,300 in two days for her. We were so very blessed. Her surgery came out to a bit more than that, but we were so luck to have most of it covered. Yiiis. I'm still taking care of a lot of animals. Just last month I had four new rescue cats come in. (two are kittens so hopefully finding them homes will be no large feat. Letting them go- will be another matter. XD)
I do appreciate donations. I can't believe how amazing everyone is- including you. I still catch myself remembering daily that I owe you some art for that! and I shall deliver; I promise.
