A couple weeks ago I opened up a random opportunity for tumblr regulars to link me their fish so that I could practice pet portraits and help me over come my recent art block. They were meant to be quick and fun. Indeed they were. c:

It was actually suggested to me that I do a simple/ discreet background as to not distract from the fishy boys. It's such a light color that you almost don't even see it. In the end I think it was a wonderful suggestion. c:
