this is a screenshot of my desktop featuring the Evangelion Iconset I made: [link]
you can see how I used the icons in the dock and on my desktop.
To Use My Icons As The System Defaults:
1. Find the icon in Finder, with the extension .icns
2. Click Command + I (aka File --> Get Info)
3. Click on the image of the icon in the info pane, top left
4. Click Command + C (aka Edit --> Copy)
5. Find the application or folder who's image you want to replace in Finder
6. Click Command + I (aka File --> Get Info)
7. Click on the image of the folder or application in the info pane, top left
8. Click Command + V (aka Edit --> Paste)
Voila! You've replaced the icon.
Please note that some applications (Skype, Limewire, and iCal, to name a few) are very stubborn because they have a variety of programmed possibilities that they display. This requires more indepth re-writing of the scripts that control their images, and is frankly more trouble than it's worth, (and amongst other things can damage your system files if you don't know what you're doing) so I don't bother. If you really want to learn how, use Google. Thanks.
I don't use all the icons, but this is how I use the ones that I do- it's just an example of course, pick your preference.

Angel Logo - Safari

Red Cross Book - Vuze
Leliel - Limewire
PenPen - Photoshop
Unit 02 (Circle) - iPhoto
Unit 00 (Circle) - Qamera
Unit 01 (Circle) - NeoOffice
Sachiel - Preview
NGE Logo (Circle) - iCal
SEELE Logo - System Preferences
Default Activity Monitor icon showing CPU Usage
SEELE Folder - Applications Folder

It's original artwork by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who did the character design for Eva. And yes, I'm pretty sure the gothic lolita figurine was based off of this image.

Haha no problem. Yea konachan is pretty frickin AWESOME and they have every wallpaper imaginable... I uploaded one that I made to 4chan and it was on konachan within the week I swear. Probably within the day. 
Oooh I can't wait to see it! I wish I knew how to convert them else I would have done it myself so windows users could use them too- I'm glad you're enjoying them!
