Say Hello to the new Arean Commander Kel

That’s right my boy got a promotion!

To celebrate, here’s a well overdue update to both his ref sheet and his bio. OuO

I had to get this out as quickly as possible because of things that shall not be currently mentioned here

Veterans of Kels history will notice a lot of consistency between this iteration and the previous one. Key difference is I am now accounting for broad developments that have occurred since the RP began, and excluding anything related to past PAST history.

Thus, this is not a good place to see his background.

Name: Aerakel (Air’ra’kel’)
Nobody currently living knows him by that name, and if asked he will always say Kel.
It has become a keepsake to him.

Nickname: Kel

Age: Now 174 as 2 years have passed ^u^

Race: Caindread

Height: 5’12

With horns: 6’1 (My boy grew a whole inch lol))

Faction: Ares

Army Position: Commander

Class: Power/Constraint

Weapon: Claws, wit, heat

Abilities: Everyone should know by now Kel isn’t naturally human (le Duh). He possesses two forms, his human one, granted by the High Demons collar, and his Caindread, or natural form- [link]
Main Weapon: Kel STILL has no formal weapon training, thus his main offense is still fire, wit, and talons.

Magic:While he is not a true fire elemental, he is able to amp the air around him to a blistering heat, thus burning his enemies without true fire. He is also able to set his claws ablaze, at talent he did not previously know he had (more likely he just wasn’t strong enough to do it lol)

Strengths: Fire resistant. Only other Caindreads can burn other Caindreads-(unless ur fire magic is super hella strong, to which fighting fire with fire becomes a very dull fight)

Weaknesses: Pffft I’m not gunna just hand em’ out to you Omg no! I will state openly tho, as this happens nearly once per role play-Combating Kels fire with water or ice is a cliche that will NOT defeat him. Feel free to keep trying it tho- Free sauna’s are good for the skin I suppose.

Healing: If the ability to cauterize ones wound counts as healing-than count him as less than inept.

Personality: Kel is a naturally calm individual, with a kind smile and a gentle wit. He knows his own power and limits, and he is not handicapped by that knowledge. Kel will not engage those he knows to be weaker than himself, not because of pride, but out of consideration for their continued preservation. He is an honest individual that enjoys expressing himself and spending time with others.

Overall: Kel as grown alot over the past two years. He’s overcome some personal demons, and rejoiced in his friends overcoming some of their own as well. He’s learned a great deal about human society and social cues, and feels relatively comfortable in most situations. Adversely, as he’s grown to identify more with humans and their culture, he’s begun to lose talents and traits that are valuable to Caindread culture.
The arrival of Leera is the only thing that currently keeps his Caindread habits/nature from slipping away.

Kel’s Collar: Amidst all the fights and conflicts, Kel has lost more than a couple stray talons from his Collar over the years. This finally prompted him to discard the damaged ones, until only these 3 remain. As long as the center claw bearing the insignia remains in tact, Kel will not lose his human form.

Kel’s new home: Part of the Commander package is owning a big@$$ tower full of skeleton soldiers who answer to your every whim.

And Kel absolutely hates it XDD

Now that he FINALLY possesses an actual home/job (Hah only took 2 years...) He has a hard time knowing what to do with it when not on active duty. As a vagabond by choice, the transition to owning a stationary home has not been an easy one. (Especially since he thinks all the stone halls and heavy doors look the same)
Some perks however, have been owning an actual bed. This has proven to be a blissful experience during the day, Trying to sleep in it, or move about the halls at night however, is a very different story XDD

Whenever Kel is home, he spends his time in the highest room, the one with the balcony, pestering Emris for company. As it currently stands, Kel is pritty well convinced he’s going to use this tower as a get away house for ailing comrades XDD
A decision the Skeleton maids/butlers are most opposed to indeed.

Additional Info and Fun Facts:

Kel now wears his tail as a belt (omg how cute is he?) simply to appear more human. He will however, still let his tail down when children come around as they seem to love to braid it (I’m looking at you Mandira and Niisha)

Kel now knows how to make cereal thanks to his time at the Guardans mansion. If u request fruits on it he will comply, but only begrudgingly as he finds them appalling. If raw rabbit or other small game is appealing to you, he can whip that up as well.

At the cost of great personal suffering, Kel had this outfit tailor made with the money his new position allotted him. Working with the seamstress was an absolute drag as Kel has very poor fashion sense. He was however, very clear on two key things-
-The inner folds of his attire must be red, to mirror his bond Emiris’s wings.
and
-He’s got a girl, who’s a friend, but she’s not his girlfriend, and I’d really like her to like it..

Despite all Kel’s leaps and bounds with human culture and society, he still has the spelling skills and overall handwriting of a 5th grader. For this reason, Kel often delivers all his messages in person. He does practice however, as he keeps a stack of disheveled papers on his desk at all times. Where he writes about important events and people in his life~<3

Travleing, brawling, chatting with friends and strangers

Spending time with Emiris

Sleeping outdoors

Sa’idah

Dislikes:

Sleeping in his new Commanders quarters. T_T Traversing the stairs or taking the elevator is NO FUN as a giant dog at night.

KEYS. Omg why do humans possess so many keys?? Kel often forgets which one goes to his new home, thus it is not uncommon to find his house left unlocked XDDD

(Another trait the skeletons butler/maids truly detest XDD)
