Dipper, Mabel, Wirt, and Morty. The four of them going on a cross-country road trip for adventure and monster hunts!! How self-indulgent awesome would that be?!! THEY'RE TOTALLY CAPABLE OF BEING UNSUPERVISED 8DD

Dipper and Mabel are almost 18, Morty is 18 (forever baby-faced <3), and Wirt is 19 and trusted by all the adults (he’s that friend every parent loves) plus he’s the only one with a car so he does most of the driving

And they’re all blinded by excitement because it’s an adventure, but it’s a normal adventure that lots of people do and there’s no apocalypse, inevitable trauma or anything looming over them. It’s just going to be a nice, exciting, normal monster hunt. I would never put angst into this. I would never bring harm to these precious children.

Anyway, Dipper’s got the travel guides and maps, Wirt’s got the leisurely stuff, Morty’s got all the first aid/self defense junk and Mabel’s got her optimism and a GRAPPLING HOOK

Dipper plans the whole thing because he and Mabel have been writing Journals 4, 5, and 6, and they decide it’s time to travel around and see if the more famous monsters like Bigfoot actually exist. And damn if they’re not gonna take tons of pictures and make millions in the process. Mabel never did get her hamster ball.

Greg really wanted to go but Wirt wasn’t up for possibly putting him in a dangerous situation, so he promised him a trip to the carnival when he got back and Greg was satisfied with that

Rick tried to lend Morty all kinds of dangerous weapons just in case, but Morty insisted it wasn’t going to be a crazy adventure and that he could handle it (Rick snuck a few laser guns into the kid’s backpack anyway. Can never be too careful).

They camp out most of the time and only stop in crummy motels when they're in desperate need of showers (where Wirt has to take care of them like the babies they are)

Dipper insists on sleeping on the couches so Mabel can have the bed, but she forces him to switch with her every other time. Because Mabel can stand to be grateful. (She wasn’t originally going to be in this but there is no logical reason for Dipper to go without her. Plus the group needs a designated bodyguard, so…)

Dipper and Wirt are constantly flirting, touching hands and brushing shoulders and Mabel & Morty are SICK OF IT, LIKE, JUST KISS ALREADY
Morty gets tons of nonchalant calls from Rick, who is pretending to not be worried sick, but everyone can tell that he’s worried sick and they all laugh at Morty’s expense like the good friends they are
They do eventually get lost at some point (because idiots). Wirt tries not to panic but everyone can see he’s clearly getting paranoid and looking around at all the trees like he's expecting something, so in a fit of determination Mabel takes the lead and manages to find their way back to the car in less than an hour. Then they let Wirt relax while they drive to a nearby diner and buy him pancakes as an apology -w-
I haven’t decided on what kind of monstrosities they’re going to run into yet, but rest assured they will almost die every single day ^w^

I needed a fun thing to work on while trying to get VH off the ground!! I'm doing more and no one shall stop me
