Final Version of this :

As I was working on this, my previous explanation inspired me. Since Heartless have been around for years -both game time and in reality- why not make it look like it HAS been around for years!

I added tears in it's suit, 'battle scars' from failed attempts to kill it by both Humans and Keyblade wielders.

Somehow it survived one or two run-ins with Sora and Riku...

And now, over a decade later, it's finally starting to question things. Who knows, maybe it'll get it's Humanity back.
