The date wasn’t at night, like tradition dictates. That’s because Fox and Krystal wanted to avoid anything that could ruin the date, so they decided to have breakfast (when everybody else was at work) instead of dinner or supper. After all, Krystal was easy recognizable, being the only blue furred vixen in the Lylat System.
Breakfast went without a problem. It was delicious and the restaurant was almost empty, so Krystal and Fox enjoyed their privacy. When they finished, Fox and Krystal went to a balcony in a nearby skyscraper to enjoy the view of Corneria City. Peppy had suggested Fox to take Krystal there, since his father, James, had took Vixy to that same spot while dating and the view was beautiful.
After several minutes watching the view, Krystal spoke.
“What’s in your mind, Fox? I know something is worrying you, since you looked absent for a few minutes while we were waiting for our food.”
Fox sighed. “I’m worried, Krystal, because the Star Fox team is being disbanded! Falco wants to try his luck either as leader of his own mercenary team or as a racer and Slippy wants to marry Amanda and live a quiet life with her in Aquas. I’m returning to the same place I was before the Anglar war!”
Krystal smiled and got close to her, closing her eyes. “There is a difference now, Fox: I’m here with you. I’ll remain at your side, no matter what!”
Fox felt warm from the inside and took Krystal’s left hand. “Thank you, Krystal. That means a lot to me. I love you, Krystal!”
“I love you too, Fox!”
Fox and Krystal got closer…
