“Why did you told me to focus only on blocking or dodging, James?” Asked Cedric after a couple of minutes. “I could do better if I can retaliate!”

“That’s because you need to defend yourself in such a way that it no longer requires you thinking, Cedric,” said James. “Sometimes, there is no time to think in the middle of a fight. Only to act or react. If you’re able to defend yourself in a successful way, you can find an opening for a counterattack. However, such openings only last a second. You need to take advantage of that moment before it passes.”

Cedric nodded. “I see. Well, let’s continue!”
