Once they were outside, Princess Holy went right to the point.

“Richard was this morning in the fortress. He is ready to sent Eric and me back to the past. We’ll return in two days. I wanted to ask you two things. The first is to ask you and Holy to be in the fortress to say goodbye. If all of you came, the denizens of Sea Shield could realize something is going on and the Guardian Council said it’s still too early for the villagers to learn the existence of Santuary Fortress and its denizens.”

Krystal nodded. “I understand, your highness. Two people had a better chance to go unnoticed than a large group.”

Princess Holy smiled. “Thank you, Krystal.” Then, her face took a serious look. “The second thing I wanted to ask you is that you take good care of Holy!”

Krystal blinked, surprised. “Sure, your highness, I’ll do it! But why did you wanted to tell me this away from the others?”

Princess Holy sighed. “Because I wanted some privacy, Krystal. My husband told me what Fox said about Derek White. I don’t want that girl to be in harm’s way. She is, after all, my family. And, since I can’t help her, I want to know if she is in good hands. Not that I distrust Richard, of course. But Holy needs more family than just a foster father.”

Krystal nodded and raised her left hand. “I promise you I’ll do anything I can to help her, princess, and I’m sure Fox will do the same way. I know she sees me as an aunt of sorts. Fox and I already consider Holy part of our family.”
