Description

While Alexis and Nora were waiting for Drossel and Cesar to arrive, a branch from a nearby tree fell on the robot. It didn’t appear to do nothing, but suddenly, the robot move.

The two vixens where too surprised to move, so the robot easily spotted them. When it did, it quickly aimed its arms at Alexis and Nora, who let out a yell of fear and surprise.

“Who are you, xenos?”

The voice coming from the machine was strange. It was more like the voice of a person talking thru a radio instead of the synthetic voice of a robot.

“Answer my questions! Who are you and where I am? And where is the rest of my unit?”

Alexis and Nora looked at each other. Running away was out of the question. The weapon the robot had in its right arm resembled the one Krystal and Fox had referred to as a ‘Gatling gun’, and, for that reason, they knew it was capable of firing hundreds of rounds per minute. On the other hand, the robot seemed more eager to have his questions answered than resort to violence. For that reason, Nora made a gesture to Alexis to allow her to talk. Alexis nodded and Nora turned to the robot.

“I’m Nora Pathfinder and my friend is Alexis Evergreen. I’m a member of the Guardian Order and Alexis is the commander of a fortress. We came here because a scout party found you and we wanted to see if you where a threat to the people under our care or not. You are in Sanctuary Island, in the world of New Hope. We ignore how you came here, what unit you came from and where is that unit now.”

Alexis nodded. “That’s right! Besides, we are unarmed. Please, let us solve this in a civilized manner. If you need help, we’ll see if we can help you. We mean you no harm.”

The robot remained silent from a moment, with the fingers on his large left claw moving, in a way that remind Nora and Alexis how some people open and close their fists when they are nervous.

Finally, the robot talked.

“Fine! I see you are unarmed. I’m an honorable warrior and there is no honor in attacking an unarmed opponent. And you have yet to do anything wrong to me. We’ll talk, for now.”

Alexis and Nora relaxed and waited for the robot to start his questions again, hoping that help was nearby.
