Here I am, playing on heartstrings
Some have snapped but on it goes
There's always highs and lows
A soft smile makes its way through
Simply, the thoughts of you
Ever so close, yet always too far
Watching the brightening stars
Only one moon, and a single sun here
Wide open spaces and oceans so clear
Mountains high and icy, deserts sandy and hot
Among all the roses, little forget-me-nots
Another day passes, another night gone
Waiting can seem ever so long
And in the quietest moments, as I keep the wait
The song breaks the stillness and continues to play.
