Description
Ah, Zone Of The Enders.
One of my favorite PS2 games, created by the infamous Hideo Kojima, or better known as Mr. Metal Gear Solid. 
I've been listening to the soundtracks of both games - Zone Of The Enders and Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner - and got me remembering the great moments of this otherwise unknown branch in the world of Mecha.
I tried doing detailed recreations of Jehuty - your starring mech - but wasn't satisfied with the look of how he was coming out so I decided to stick with the traditional vector silhouette I love doing. 
I'll probably do some more fanart of Jehuty and the other mechs when I have the time [and inspiration] to do so.
Hopefully this is a decent homage to this small, but great series.
I really hope that some sort of sequel or new chapter gets made in the ZOE universe [Besides Dolores,i - kinda watched some of it but never finished this sidestory of an anime for the series; the movie Z.O.E. 2162 IDOLO was great - loved how it prequels the first Z.O.E. game! 
]. The Fist Of Mars GameBoy Advance game was *alright* but thought could've been better - but who knows in the future, right? 
Oh, just to clarify, I borrowed the techniques from both games to show the different poses of Jehuty.
The 2nd game gave you so many options of kicking ass - I tried to draw him with the Vector Cannon [The BFG that basically warps out of space - and blasts the crap out of everything in the general horizon; SWEET GUN!!! 
] but couldn't get any decent referrences to go by.

And the Vector Cannon is epic, but the one ability i love more is: Zero Shift - I played the first game and always thought, that it would be cool to have Anubis' ability to "teleport"...and then it's happening. Epic.

Z.O.E 1. = awesome sauce, it occupied about 5 hours each day when i was little, i beat it at least 20 times a week and it never got old
Z.O.E. 2 = to this very day its my favorite game of all time, i play it very often. it just NEVER Gets old no matter how many times i beat it! the one part i dont like in the game is in the huge charge with hundreds of enemys, if you want to do well its just fly around and shoot homing missles everywhere, heheh.
and as for this picture, i like it! nice style going for it. that raptor at the bottom got nailed by jehuty

I need to find a copy of the original. My PS2 ate it and I never got around to replacing it.

Love the 2nd game, can't wait for the 3rd on the PS3. The graphics were so stunning on the PS2, they should be even better this time

Yep, came across the article while searching Google for ZOE images. They also mentioned it's still Jehuty and ADA as the playable frame, and the other characters would definitely be in there, but no mention of who the main character would be. Oh well, it'll be great whatever, it's ZOE

I'm still missing the PS3 part as well, but some hard work and I'll be about halfway there by christmas
Then I give the money out to my family and use subliminal messaging to tell them to join together and pay the surplus to get me a PS3

I need to start putting away for one, but I'm tempted to wait to see if the hardware price will either drop or get a redesign at a more affordable price like the PS2 slim did.

Well it is already cheaper in the US than here in Europe. I want to get one as soon as possible, so all the good games don't pass me by and become impossible to find. The annoying thing is anyone who doesn't want to lose their favourite series has to get a PS3 so you can get the next game, like ZOE 3, Devil May Cry 4, Final Fantasy XIII, etc. You're almost forced into buying one.

Actually, Devil May Cry 4 is going dual platform on the 360 as well. 
I know I still want to check out KILLZONE 2, the new Ratchet & Clank, and Warhawk.

But not everything I like is on the Xbox, and I really hate those controllers. I'm also pretty anti-Nintendo, so I won't be getting a Wii or anything else. The next R&C is something I'll look out for on the PS3, and the same for Jak & Daxter. Burnout, Need for Speed, Silent Hill and possibly Kingdom Hearts should be continuing on the PS3, if they continue. It's gotta be the PS3 for me

Yeah, I know.
I'm just hoping I can get whatever I can on the 360, since I've already invested on that instead of a PS3; I'll wait until there's a substancial price drop since I can't afford to dish out that much money for it PLUS with games being $60 a pop too - so by the time that happens, they should be cheaper [hopefully].
BUUUUT, with games doing the trend of being dual-platform, I think I'll be able to enjoy most of the games that are available with the time I have between work and such. :>

Cool! I remember that game... I've never played the first one either, but I have played most of Hideo Kojimas games (MGS3, MGS2: Subsistance, ZOE: The 2nd Runner, obviously.) I hate the last boss though... Grrrr...

Very worthy. I'm a ZOE freak, and I love this! Funny, I found it by searching with the words "Vector Cannon Jehuty" hoping to find SOMETHING with Jehuty using it. Oh well, this rocks! After beating both PS2 games on every difficulty setting (Boy, very hard is also very fun!) this brings back great memories.

I would've done a Jehuty with the Vector Cannon equipped but I didn't have much referrences [besides the back view of him with it out] to work with.

Yeah, I the only thing I can think of is when Ken talks about what the cannon is for and it shows a little picture of it shooting the shield. Splicing that image with a side view of Jehuty would be the best bet, in designing it at least.
