Description
Here’s Dynomutt displaying the ability to mechanically shift and morph into different alternative forms. I’ve always imagine him having this ability, so I drew him as some of the various forms he can take. I picture him getting this shapeshifting ability from a new software upgrade, or nanobots.

-One form I have him in is the Dyno-Briefcase, where he can sneak into places or hide, or if he needs to convert into a more convenient portable state to be taken with Blue Falcon aka Radley Crowne when he’s working undercover as a civilian. The inspiration for this came from a Mickey Mouse cartoon when Mickey folded up Pluto into case form to fit into his briefcase to sneak on board a train with Pete as the conductor who didn’t allow dogs on the train. Also the Iron Man Mark V briefcase armor from Iron Man 2, and the Transformers animal cassette characters like Ravage, Steeljaw, or Ramhorn. Hence the folded up limbs, head, and vest. Also me giving him a cubic appearance to his look and features. Funny thing is if you notice the handle, that’s Dyno’s tail converted into the case handle for this form.

-I also have him in a Dyno-Ball form in which he can convert into to bowl over bad guys or roll fast. It’s like his own morphball mode, but I made it more cartooney and exaggerated looking.

-Here he is in his Dyno-Tank form, in which he needs to go into heavy combat. Inspiration for this came from Beetlejuice’s tank form in the BJ cartoon or Hordak from the original She-Ra, with some other misc sources. I also liked how I made use of Dyno’s stringy top hairs on his head, and have them convert into his tank form’s radio antennas.

-Here he is in his Dyno-Cycle form. I think the Swat Kats’ villain Madkat inspired me when he transformed into a motorcycle, the same inspiration I got when I made my Artemis tf elastic art. Pictured here…

I didn’t know how to translate Dyno into a motorcycle at first, or meld his features into that kind of shape. I just looked at a picture of a green cycle and just sketched him as that shape and just rounded and cubed his features. I think I also took features from the Batpod. The wheels were to most challenging to design. I loved that I converted his dog ears into stalk bike mirrors for this form. I’m picturing Blue Falcon riding Dyno-Cycle to catch the bad guys on a road chase because the Falconcar is damaged so Dynomutt transforms to give him a lift and let him drive him as a bike.

-Here I also have him in his Dyno-Rocket form. Definitely an inspiration from Hordak again in his rocket form, also maybe pup Scooby from a Pup Named Scooby Doo when he eats Scooby Snacks he briefly becomes a rocket. Maybe some other misc cartoon sources as well I had inspiration from. A little challenging coming up with this form because I didn’t know what kind of rocket look I would use or how I would meld in his features, thank God for my liquifying elastic art tool to stretch out his features to make him look really rounded. It was a bit of a challenge coming up with an expression and frontal forward look.

-Next is the Dyno-SUB or submarine form. This form was a bit easy to make since a submarine design is more simple, it also made me think what expression I should put on it. A bit hard to come up with one, so I just kept it a bit simple and tried to stretch out his features as best as I could. Took his hairs again and converted them into antennas for his sub form. My inspiration for this form was Submarimon, and when Cody rides in him.

-Finally I come to his Dyno-ED form or Enforcement Droid form. Basically him transforming into an ED-209 robot from Robocop. One of his more exaggerated forms. I didn’t really draw it from scratch like the other forms. I just traced over a picture of the ED robot, added some features from the Family Guy parody version of it to make it look more cartooney, and then I added Dyno’s features to it. His features melded well to this form which came a bit easy.

Anyway, I might do more forms for Dog Wonder latter on, and I might do some alternate versions of his ball form and rocket form again.
