Is it cold where you lie
Among tattered dreams and heart felt lies
In shadowed gardens of change feared times
Uncharted terrors frozen within tear laden minds

Does sadness spawn blades of ever slicing chills
Weeping over begotten things and long forgotten thrills
Tumbling within tapestries of emptiness fulfilled
Lamenting spirits clad within flesh that has been stilled

Plummeting ever downward towards the abyss
Pining over remembered things of times that are missed
Suspended over dynasties of feelings turned to mist
Walking upon the slender thread of love within the tryst

Is it cold where you dream
Of times long gone, of better things
When thoughts were bliss, what felt was seen
Can time rewind, can souls still sing

Is it cold within the sleep
Can you count all of the sheep
Can you span the fated leap
Or is it all slipping through the seams
Can two souls ever hope to meet
On even ground where all yet weep
To shattered dreams that all seems fleet
Chasing eternal those feelings leased
