So…It surfaced again…
Despite all of your dams
That have cracked and frayed around the seams
Feelings and longings for the finer things
Choking upon harvests that bloomed so bitter, sweet.
So it finally came to fruit
That in which warnings have come
For so long…
So,
Now what will you do?
You really don’t have much left to lose.
All that have sheltered has been driven loose
Cast adrift, alone yet again.
Brought to bear by wanting too much
Grasping so hard that bruises were felt
Lumps in the shape of your fingers and welts
For so very long…
So,
The ground upon your foundations that lay
Within the citadel flying only your colors
Do you now pray, or is it prey upon your knees
Scattered remains of playthings bear silent tribute
Tantrum, thrown along seemingly endless spectrums
Of light and sound cascading as it all falls down
Blame others not for choices consumed
For so utterly alone
For so very long
So,
This is an ending; the cycle is complete
Everything you cherished now lay broken at your feet
Cast all aside, nothing left but the empty echoes sounding beat.
Even they are tired, rest your weary head and sleep.

The vetrans behind the walls are still continuing the farce. Even though they know the walls have been broken down. It was the foundations that cracked first, leading to the eventual distruction of the entire stronghold. Who knows, maybe one day, the wall will rebuild itself. But for now, only the farce of the vetrans remains. . .

Usually because they are stuck replaying the past instead of staying within the present moment. Or they get lost pondering the various futures that may come to be and become indecisive and paralysed.

we have an empathic bond, so she knows what i'm feeling, but we talk so little to each other now that i see her once in three or four months, sometimes it goes towards six or seven months. we haven't talked by ourselves in years now. she has her fiance, so i dont know why she wont let me go. *sigh*
