Description I guess I do more work when im in a bad mood then when im in a good mood... I guess im just expressing through my art.
This is a bit like my last piece.. not the same look, but the same idea and story pretty much.

Story: Another collapsing star in the middle of a universe creates a black hole, with a gravitational pull so great, it claims its prey of planets and objects in space from lightyears away... The shear sight of it gives a warm feeling to the hearts of the people who see it, but little do they know, that this stunning anomoly will soon eradicate their very existance, soon enough... this stray black hole will also engulf more then just planets... but will also try and consume giant stars... when it does, it will create a reaction, full of distorted information and matter... as the gas from the star bruns it turns into diffretn arrays of color.. and eventually explodes into more then just a Supernova... This explosion will cause more then just gallactic destruction..

The rest of this story i might use for my next piece, as to not leave it in a cliffhanger forever...

Anyways, comments and Favs appreciated again...

Mum says the rocks/asteroids in the forefront of the picture looks like an ultrasound scan of me. as a baby. in the womb. yeah dont really know what to think of that, but maybe you have some warped ESP psychic thing happening. Aside from the fact that I'm being sucked into a black hole, I think it looks pretty cool. Loving the purpleness.

mum says, maybe you dont know what to make of it either She has a lot of things to say actually. Most of the time i try to block them out, because it usually involved me sweeping the floor or washing the dishes, but this time that was what she had to say ;D
If you're not careful maybe she'll be ordering you to sweep the floor!

Feeling a little loopy

HOLY CRAP O__O;; this is beautiful!! beyond words!!! You really captured our demise ^___^ godly work! I can't help but notice that planet on the bottom left...how come there's two earths? o.o When I was younger I was scared crapless of this but since I'm planning on taking up astrology in university, mine as well learn about the dark side of it too right? Again, amazing work. You should make into background or a print ^__^

It is decent, more on a plus side. Now, I did not read al the posts, so I do not know if this has been said, or if anyone has posted anything 'negative' yet, but this is my opinion on certain aspects.

I love, absolutely love the gases and focal point. However the second large planet (cut off) the gasses seem to like the other, showing less effort and lack of creativity. My other concern, which is REALLY bugging me is the asteroids. The tint is decent but seems like they do not fit. Also the texture looks a bit blurry, so perhaps shrink it down and tile it (if its seamless, otherwise make it so)

That is my opinion, hope it helped, hope you read, hope you improve.

This is Pie, signing out.

I truely love those planet textures and the collapsed star is awesome. Meteors are a nice touch as well There's only one thing I might change in this deviation and since you have advanced Critique Encouraged, I'll tell you The pinkish stuff on the edges of the planets works fine, but I don't think its really that necessary to the whole deviation. Otherwise, this is a fantastic piece

pretty nice, i like the planets and the purple stuff. asteroids could be a tad betetr thou, u can see the texture "spiral" at the poles wich indicates u used a 3d programm, try to rotate them so they dont show those areas caus ethey ruin em a bit. otherwise great piece. good job

I really love this piece. The only thing that sets it off for me is the font choice and the motion blur. Like maybe a glow effect would've been better and a different type of font that is more rounded and smooth. But the art itself is good and I love the purple effects. :nods: So, that's my advanced critique.

this is pretty good, the stars look cool.. but they need a lot of randomizing.. im looking at the same thing throughout the whole picture, also im not really getting any depth.. mabey some larger stars would be nicer.. it feels like im looking at the planets which im right next to, and the stars which are really far away. another thing is the atmosphere, it feels too clean for space, i think it could stand to have some light brushing

i dont like the asteriods that are up close.. they look like a real picture whereas the rest of the peice does not.. i think it kind of ruins the peice

anyways, i like the peice a lot, but some stuff could probably be changed to better it

StarSeekervds [2005-10-23 18:12:33 +0000 UTC]

Your description is invalid; a black hole's gravity well is no different than the original star's; except very close in; if Sol were to become a black hole the orbits of all the planets would remain the same. Things don't get "sucked in"; the only place where the gravity is out of the ordinary is close enough that you would've been inside the original star anyway...

But who cares, lovely pic

It's Science Fiction... "fiction" lol.. not real... but thnx for the comment....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StarSeekervds In reply to Shadowtm [2005-10-24 01:02:51 +0000 UTC]

Sci-fi should be as realistic as possible IMHO; it's better to have your background stuff in order so you can tell the story, and not have anything that's simply *wrong* because that detracts from it. If you want to take liberties, take them with things that are unknowns or irrefuteables, not just make stuff up that contradicts known facts. Otherwise you kill your story in the eyes of anyone who knows different.

Wow, this is excellent.
Too bad you weren't able to credit the people/person who made the asteroids up front. They look really cool, but the closest one is a bit pixellated. = \
I've seen you use the lower left planet countless times.. and well, I think it still sucks. You should use a new one and not put such a deep effect on it.

The supernova looks.. well... superb.

Simply Amazing!!! This might be your best work to come!!!! I love how were standing along the Asteroid Belt, only to be consumed with it Also, How do you create that Awesome Gas around the Large Planet and such? And were the Asteroids made in 3DS Max? I was wondering......I might swap it for Bryce and Cinema 4D, but Ill have to think about it!

Shadowtm In reply to HiroSasuke [2005-10-20 01:23:52 +0000 UTC]

the big asteroids up front arent mine, i don't know who they're by really, i can't 3d rener them cuz i dont have the programs yet, and i couldn't texture them, but thats pretty much the first 5 or 6 asteroids..

First planet, kick ass.

Nebula/black hole thing, remove the random asteroid cluster.

Second planet, kick ass.

Asteriods, lose em.

Border, like, way mondo mucho man.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Shadowtm In reply to Phelddagrif [2005-10-19 10:27:12 +0000 UTC]

thnx alot, but im not sure you read the whole description , asteroids are far from random in space lol, asteroids are a part of it, so their in there... because the black hole can suck things in from "lightyears away" which means it could easily consumer asteroids, even if they werent in the original image itself.

Thanks for the comment again! Appreciate the critique also.
