The Prowler-Class Star Archivist was a ship class that holds a name from a concept ship design from early Terran Dynasty designs several decades before the Solar War. The Star Archivist ships were a series of ships that focused on collecting and storing data, the Prowler-Class was the first to be used as a military ship. Proposed by the Orion Imperial remnant State, a region of space located within the Remnant Sectors, to the Head of Military which was successful. Deployed 33 ABY the Prowler-Class Star Archivist infiltrated First Order fleets sending operatives into First Order territory easily. The ship could cloak itself completely, from sensors and even from the naked eye making it a hard ship to spot. About 20-25 were used against the First Order fleets and helped the Orion Spur Alliance discover the First Order's top secret projects and shipyards, including the Omega Shipyards and even where Starkiller Base used to be.

When the First Order discovered the Prowlers, it was too late, the schematics for the Infernal-Class Heavy Star Destroyers was stolen and used to create the Orion Spur Alliances first Predator-Class Heavy Star Destroyers. The Prowler-Class which was named the Prey has become the Predator. An ample name. The Prowler, since it was cloaked, was making an easy getaway. It's giveaway being it's engine thrust. Having the data collected an all hands on deck accounted for. All the First Order could do was launch some TIEs after it before it jumped when they detected it's energy signature. This is not it's only weakness though, the Prowler-Class Star Archivist needs two reactors to work and whenever a hanger opens up or when their armament starts firing, a part become exposed. The inside of the hangers appear, bringing in the need of a seventh ventral hanger for ground missions in enemy space. The Prowler-Class Star Archivist The Prey has become the Predator escaped unscathed and unnoticed mostly. The First Order never had the chance to make an answer to the Prowler-Class due to a lack of information and time. The Orion Spur Alliance had made the one ship the First order could not find in ever.
